Location

Located only 300 meters from the Hotel Cairoli, be sure not to miss the Palazzo Bianco, number 11, which contains an art gallery housing gorgeous Italian and Flemish masterpieces; Palazzo Rosso (Via Garibaldi 18), with its luxurious stucco, baroque frescoes, and the paintings of Bernardo Strozzi and Van Dyck; and at n. 9, Palazzo Tursi, the present-day town council hall, with its spectacular staircase.
100 meters from Hotel Cairoli is San Siro, the old cathedral of Genoa and one of the most ancient churches in the city, and San Filippo Neri, which holds a magnificent organ from the 1500's, and an auditorium known throughout Italy for its excellent acoustics (Premio Paganini). The Casa di Mazzini and the Museum of the Risorgimento are in Via Lomellini 11, just one minute from the Hotel Cairoli. 300 meters from the hotel is the magnificent Genoa Aquarium, the largest aquarium in Europe, and the Bigo, with architecture inspired by the shape of ship loading cranes and fitted with panoramic elevators, the work of Renzo di Piano, the famous Genoese architect. Just 10 minutes from the Hotel Cairoli is the splendid Cathedral di San Lorenzo, with its classic bicolor Romanesque facade, and the Palazzo Ducale.

By air
The Genoa Airport "Cristoforo Colombo" is located just outside the city, only 7 kilometres from the Hotel Cairoli. To get to the hotel take Bus #100 "Volabus" from the aerostation (departure every hour) and get off at the train station Genova Piazza Principe. At the train station Genova Piazza Principe take the bus 34 – 35 – 35/ and get off at Piazza della Nunziata, just 100 meters away from the Hotel Cairoli. Continue along Via Bensa and turn right into Via Cairoli. Walk 50 meters straight ahead and you have arrived. The Hotel is No. 14.
By train
The train station Genova Piazza Principe is 600 meters from the Hotel Cairoli. From the station, take bus 34 – 35 – 35/ to Piazza della Nunziata, 100 meters from the Hotel Cairoli. Once you get off the bus at Piazza della Nunziata, the hotel is just 3 minutes away. Continue along Via Bensa and turn right at Via Cairoli. Walk 50 meters straight ahead, and you have arrived. By car
From the motorway
From all directions, exit at Genova Ovest. Follow the directions for Centro/Acquario without taking the Sopraelevata (flyover). Turn right onto Via Cantore, continue on toward Via Milano, Via Gramsci and arrive at Piazza Caricamento. At Piazza Caricamento, make a U-turn and return to Via Gramsci. At the second traffic light, turn right onto Via delle Fontane. From the Piazza della Nunziata, continue on for 100 meters along Via Bensa and turn right at the traffic light onto Via Cairoli. Arrive at the Hotel Cairoli at No. 14.
By ship
The ferry and cruise ship terminals at the Stazione Marittima di Genova are located respectively at 1 kilometer and 500 meters from the Hotel Cairoli. From the station, take bus 18, 19, 20 or 30 to Piazza della Nunziata, 100 meters from the Hotel Cairoli. Once you get off the bus at Piazza della Nunziata, you are just 3 minutes from the hotel. Continue along Via Bensa and turn right at Via Cairoli. Walk 50 meters straight ahead and you have arrived. The Hotel is No. 14.
